Which lookup do you need?
Each one starts with a different identifier and answers a different question. The rows below say what you put in, what comes out and when to reach for it.
Username search
- Start with
- A handle, an @mention or a pasted profile URL.
- What comes back
- Matching profiles across 820+ platforms: handle, display name, bio, audience counts, links and join date where a source returns them, plus former usernames and traces of deleted accounts where supported.
- Best for
- Mapping one alias across platforms, checking an impersonation claim, auditing your own footprint.
- Example
- A seller trades as northwindvintage on one marketplace. The scan finds the same handle on a forum and a photo site, and the forum bio links a blog with a contact address.
Reverse email lookup
- Start with
- One email address.
- What comes back
- The accounts registered to that address on supported sources, grouped by platform, with usernames and profile details where returned. Paid plans can add a breach lookup for historical exposure.
- Best for
- Verifying a sender, turning a recovered address into a handle, checking your own exposure.
- Example
- An invoice arrives from an accounts@ address at a domain you do not know. The address resolves to a developer account and a freelance profile under one username, which you then search.
Phone and people search
- Start with
- A phone number in international format, or for people search, a name with a location or a recovered email.
- What comes back
- Phone: the social accounts that expose the number as a contact or recovery field. People: contact and public-record leads from the people search provider, in the dashboard.
- Best for
- Confirming a number belongs to the profile that gave it, and turning an alias into a real-world contact once earlier steps have produced a name or an email.
- Example
- A number from a classified ad returns a messaging profile and a rideshare account with the same first name. That name and the number seed a people search.
What each lookup takes, covers and returns.

Username, then email, then phone or people.
The order is deliberate. A username is the cheapest thing to have and the widest net to cast, so start there. Bios and link pages in the results often hand you an email address; a reverse email lookup turns that address into the accounts registered to it, which may add a phone number or a real name. The phone lookup confirms which profiles carry that number, and a people search takes the name and the recovered email into contact and record leads.
Each step checks the one before it. A match at any stage is a lead to verify against its source, not proof that two accounts belong to the same person.
Before you start.
Which lookup should I start with?
Start with the username. A handle is the thing you most often have and it casts the widest net. Its results usually surface an email address or a phone number, which is what the other two lookups need.
Are the tools free to try?
The username scan on this page runs without an account, with a small daily allowance per visitor and the details masked. A free account unlocks email and phone lookups in the dashboard; plans set the weekly search allowance and the depth of research.
Do the lookups chain automatically?
Partly. On Pro and Enterprise, deep search follows handles found in bios and link pages within a username scan. On Starter, Pro and Enterprise, a username recovered by an email or phone lookup can be searched again in one click. People search is a separate step you start yourself from the name or email the earlier steps produced.
Run all three from one dashboard.
A free account opens email and phone lookups, keeps your searches and exports the results you can see.
