Important Notice
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using OSINTsearch. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree to all of these terms, do not use our services. These terms contain important limitations on our liability and your use of the platform.
Not a Consumer Reporting Agency: FCRA Disclaimer
OSINTsearch is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq.) ("FCRA"), and the information we provide is not a "consumer report." The Service may not be used as a factor in establishing a consumer's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment (including when evaluating an applicant for hiring, promotion, retention, or household or domestic workers), housing or tenant screening, education, scholarships or financial aid, government licenses, benefits, or any other eligibility purpose. See Sections 6 and 7 for the full statement of permitted and prohibited uses.
Government-ID lookup is not a supported feature. You must not use OSINTsearch to seek Social Security numbers or government-issued identification numbers. People Search and breach records use selected output fields; Section 2.2 explains the scope of these controls and source-provided content.
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using OSINTsearch ("Service," "Platform," "we," "us," or "our"), you ("User," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"), our Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws and regulations. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and OSINTsearch.
1.1 You represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
1.2 We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide notice through the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.
1.3 If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the Service and delete any data obtained through the Service.
1.4 ELECTRONIC CONSENT (E-SIGN). You agree that these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, account notices, and any other records we provide in connection with the Service may be delivered and signed electronically. You affirmatively consent to receive such records electronically and acknowledge that your electronic acceptance (including checking a box, clicking "I agree," or using the Service) constitutes your electronic signature under the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-Sign Act, 15 U.S.C. § 7001 et seq.) and any analogous state law. You may request a paper copy of any record by contacting [email protected].
2. Service Description & Data Disclaimer
OSINTsearch is an open-source intelligence (OSINT) platform that helps you research online identities, social-media presence, eligible People Search records and breach exposure. Searches query public platforms and third-party providers; results may include cached information. The Service currently consists of:
- Social Search: Look up a username, email, handle, or phone number across supported sources and review associated or formerly-used public profiles. We index and link to public profile content; we do not own the underlying profiles.
- People Search: Search eligible US records by name, phone number or address. Available provider fields can include contact information, current and previous residential addresses, aliases and property details. Geographic restrictions and account settings apply; returned associations and property values are not independently verified.
- Breach Exposure: Review exposure indicators and available records returned by third-party providers, subject to your plan and our Acceptable Use Policy. Paid plans include access to available breach-exposure records.
2.1 DATA-SOURCE MODEL; ACCURACY; SEPARATE DATA CATEGORIES. OSINTsearch retrieves information from public social-media sources and third-party providers. Breach-exposure information is a separate source category: it is not necessarily public profile content or information published by the subject. We do not independently verify provider records or their provenance. Results may include cached information. Public-profile and following caches are configured for database cleanup twenty-four (24) hours after their latest update; search logs are configured for cleanup ninety (90) days after creation. Database cleanup is asynchronous, not an exact deletion deadline. Breach-summary caching and browser-session storage are described in our Privacy Policy. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, TIMELINESS, OR RELIABILITY OF ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICE. Data may be outdated, incorrect, incomplete, or derived from unverified sources, and may refer to more than one person sharing a name or other identifier. The Service is provided "AS IS" and "WITH ALL FAULTS" and is not a substitute for independent diligence.
We distinguish user information from search-subject records. User Personal Information (the account, contact, billing, usage, IP/device, and support data we collect from you as a subscriber) is governed by our Privacy Policy and is never injected into, merged with, or resold as part of any search-subject report. Service Data is the search-subject information shown in results, including public-profile information, eligible People Search records and third-party breach-exposure information. These source categories are distinct; not all Service Data is public or subject-published. Our handling of each is described in our Privacy Policy.
2.2 UNSUPPORTED SENSITIVE-DATA LOOKUPS. Social Security number and government-ID lookup are not supported features. You must not use the Service to seek these identifiers, including driver's license, state ID, passport or national-ID numbers. People Search returns selected profile fields, and breach-record fields exclude password and Social Security number values at every tier. PDF reports and AI evidence exclude raw provider payloads and specified credential and government-ID fields. These controls do not establish that all source-provided biographies or other text have been classified or stripped of incidental personal details. See our Privacy Policy.
2.3 BREACH-EXPOSURE RESEARCH; NO UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS. The Service includes breach-exposure research using information returned by third-party providers. Available results and fields depend on your plan and provider responses. Exposure results may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect; they do not prove that an account is currently compromised. You may review your own exposure or conduct research you are authorized to perform, subject to applicable law and our Acceptable Use Policy. Nothing in the Service authorizes access to another person's accounts, systems, or private information, or misuse of credentials. OSINTsearch does not engage in, facilitate, or condone unauthorized access. Separately, the Service does not offer stealer-log access, device-exposure or compromised-device data, "predator maps," or geolocated-offender mapping features.
2.4 NON-CONFIRMATION OF SOCIAL SEARCH RESULTS. Social Search results are similarity, match, and linkage indicators compiled for informational purposes only. A result that associates a username, email, handle, phone, or public profile with a person does not confirm that person's identity, presence, location, activity, character, or conduct. Because we aggregate rather than verify, you must not treat any result as a factual assertion about the subject, and you must independently confirm any information before acting on it.
2.5 NOT A PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR; NON-AFFILIATION. OSINTsearch is not a private investigator service, a detective agency, or a licensed investigations provider, and it does not produce consumer reports. OSINTsearch is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any social-media platform, government agency, or data provider whose public information may appear in results, and we make no claim of accuracy on their behalf.
2.6 PERMITTED PURPOSES. The Service is intended for legitimate purposes such as identity verification, locating and reconnecting with people you know or have a legitimate reason to contact, journalism and public-interest research, fraud prevention and due diligence conducted with proper authorization, academic and educational research, and verifying your own information. A plain-English list of permitted and prohibited uses is published on our Acceptable Use page, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Users are solely responsible for ensuring their use complies with all applicable laws and, where required, for obtaining the consent of the subject of a search.
2.7 NO ENDORSEMENT OR VERIFICATION. The inclusion of any data in our Service does not constitute an endorsement or verification of that data. We make no representations about the validity or authenticity of any information provided.
2.8 INDIVIDUAL SUPPRESSION (OPT-OUT). If you believe your own personal information appears in our search results, you may request that we suppress it. Because OSINTsearch is a search index over public social-media profiles and third-party providers and does not own the underlying data, we cannot delete the source data; an opt-out operates only at our layer. You may submit a suppression request through our self-serve opt-out at /opt-out. For an email address that appears in results, you confirm ownership by clicking a verification link we email to that address, and it is suppressed as soon as you confirm. For a phone number, name, address, username or other identifier, you confirm a contact email by clicking a link we send, after which the claim enters manual human review. Confirming the contact email alone does not establish the claim. Review can take up to four (4) weeks, and the identifier is suppressed only once the claim is approved. Approved identifiers and platform scopes are retained for persistent suppression of matching information in Social Search and People Search results on OSINTsearch. Important and binding limitations: (a) suppression affects ONLY OSINTsearch's results: it does not remove, alter, or delete your information from any originating third-party source, including the social platforms that Social Search reads, the third-party providers that supply results, or any other website; to seek source-level removal you must contact each of those providers directly; (b) different identifiers or information outside the approved scope may require a separate request; and (c) suppression is a surfacing control over OSINTsearch results, not deletion of the underlying source data or a guarantee that every cached or previously saved copy is deleted. Judges, law-enforcement officers, prosecutors, public defenders, elected officials, and their household or family members may use a protected-person suppression path where required by state law; contact [email protected] for assistance. Full details, including how we handle requests to delete or stop surfacing your data at our layer under applicable law (and why we cannot remove data held by third-party upstream sources), are described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Accounts, Tiers & Quotas
3.1 ACCOUNTS. An account is required for most features. We offer a free tier as well as paid subscriptions. The features and limits available to you depend on the tier associated with your account.
3.2 TIERS. Tiers include Free, Starter, Pro, and Enterprise. Each tier is described on our pricing page, which controls in the event of any inconsistency with these Terms.
3.3 QUOTAS AND LIMITS. Each tier is subject to a periodic limit on Social Search lookups, which resets weekly on the Free, Starter and Pro tiers, as well as per-second rate limits designed to ensure fair availability of the Service. The fields, features and quotas included in each tier, including the Free tier, are those shown on the pricing page and in the product interface at the time of the search, and may change from time to time.
3.4 API AND IP ALLOWLISTING. Higher tiers may include programmatic API access and the ability to allowlist specific IP addresses. If you use API access, you are responsible for all activity conducted with your API key and for keeping that key confidential.
3.5 FAIR USE. We may apply custom rate limits to individual accounts to prevent abuse, protect system stability, or manage upstream data costs, and may suspend automated or scripted usage that exceeds the spirit of your tier's limits.
4. Subscriptions, Payment & Billing
4.1 FEES. Paid plans are billed in U.S. dollars on a monthly or yearly basis, depending on the billing interval you select. Fees are due in advance for each billing cycle.
4.2 PAYMENT METHODS. We accept credit and debit card payments processed by Stripe and cryptocurrency payments processed by NowPayments. Card details are handled entirely by the payment processor; we do not collect or store full card numbers. For cryptocurrency payments, your transaction is verified by the payment processor through its invoice and webhook system.
4.3 AUTO-RENEWAL (NEGATIVE-OPTION DISCLOSURE). Card-based (Stripe) subscriptions are a recurring, automatically renewing plan: they renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle until you cancel, and you authorize us (via our processor) to charge the then-current fee for your plan. Your ongoing access is conditioned on this recurring charge. You may cancel at any time before the next renewal through your account dashboard or by emailing [email protected]; cancellation stops future renewals but does not refund the current paid period. Cryptocurrency (NowPayments) subscriptions are purchased for a specific billing period and do not auto-renew; access continues until the end of the period you paid for unless you purchase another cycle. See Section 5 for cancellation and refund details.
4.4 PRICE CHANGES. We may change our fees. Any fee change will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle following reasonable notice, and you will have the opportunity to cancel before the new fee takes effect.
4.5 TAXES. You are responsible for any sales, use, value-added, or similar taxes applicable to your purchase, other than taxes based on our net income.
4.6 FAILED PAYMENTS. If a payment fails or is charged back, we may suspend or downgrade your access, retry the charge, or pursue collection. You remain responsible for all fees incurred before cancellation.
5. Cancellation & Refunds
5.1 CANCELLATION. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Card-based cancellations stop the next renewal; you retain access until the end of the current paid period, and you will not be charged again. Cryptocurrency subscriptions remain active until the end of the period you paid for.
5.2 MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE. We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on your initial purchase, as described in detail in our Refund Policy.
5.3 NO PRORATED REFUNDS. Except as provided in the 7-day guarantee, fees are non-refundable, and we do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods. If your account is terminated by us for a violation of these Terms, you are not eligible for a refund.
5.4 CHANGES TO YOUR PLAN. Upgrades and downgrades are applied in accordance with the billing rules shown in your dashboard at the time of the change, which may include prorated charges or credits and, for card-based subscriptions, changes that take effect at the next renewal.
6. User Responsibilities & Acceptable Use
6.1 LAWFUL USE AND FEATURE AVAILABILITY. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations, including laws governing the use of personal information and public social-media information in your jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for determining whether your use of the Service is legal where you live and where the subject of your search resides. Social Search supports worldwide use where permitted by applicable law and supported by the source. People Search is limited to eligible US records and the geographic restrictions shown in the product. Other features, including phone lookups, may have additional availability restrictions. You must not bypass those restrictions or use the Service where your use is unlawful.
6.2 PERMITTED USE. You may use the Service only for legitimate, lawful purposes consistent with the FCRA disclaimer above, including:
- Searching for or verifying your own information
- Locating and reconnecting with family members, friends, classmates, or others you know or have a legitimate reason to contact
- Confirming the identity of someone you are corresponding or transacting with online, such as a marketplace buyer or seller, outside any FCRA-covered purpose
- Identity verification and confirming someone is who they claim to be (outside any FCRA context)
- Journalism and public-interest research
- Fraud prevention and due diligence conducted with proper authorization
- Academic and educational research
- Compliance and risk-assessment purposes that do not implicate an FCRA permissible purpose
6.3 LICENSE GRANT AND FCRA RESTRICTION. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, internal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and use the Service for the permitted purposes above. This license is personal to you. The Service and the data it returns are not consumer reports and may not be used as a factor in establishing any person's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment (including evaluation of household or domestic workers), housing or tenant screening, education, scholarships, government licenses or benefits, or any other purpose covered by the FCRA (15 U.S.C. § 1681b). Any violation of this restriction is a material breach that terminates your license immediately.
6.4 CONSENT OF THE SUBJECT. Where the use you intend involves contacting, publishing information about, or making a decision affecting a third party, you are responsible for obtaining whatever consent that person's jurisdiction requires and for complying with all applicable consent, notice, and do-not-contact laws. OSINTsearch does not obtain consent on your behalf and does not scrub Do-Not-Call or do-not-contact lists.
6.5 ACCOUNT SECURITY. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including any password and API key, and for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account or any compromise of your credentials.
6.6 ACCURATE INFORMATION. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account and to update such information as necessary.
6.7 COMPLIANCE WITH THIRD-PARTY TERMS. Data returned by the Service originates from third-party platforms and data providers. You agree to comply with the terms of service of any third-party platform whose data you obtain or act upon through the Service.
7. Prohibited Activities
You expressly agree NOT to use the Service for any of the following prohibited purposes:
- FCRA-Covered Decisions: Using the Service as a factor in determining eligibility for credit, insurance, employment (including hiring, promotion, retention, or household or domestic workers), housing or tenant screening, education, scholarships, government licenses or benefits, or any other eligibility purpose under 15 U.S.C. § 1681b(a)(3)–(a)(6)

- Spam, Telemarketing, or DNC Violations: Using contact data to send communications or make calls/texts that violate the CAN-SPAM Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), or any federal or state Do-Not-Call rule; OSINTsearch does not scrub Do-Not-Call lists, and you bear sole responsibility for compliance
- Targeting Officials or Candidates: Using the Service to threaten, harass, or harm government officials, elected officials, prosecutors, judges, law-enforcement officers, or election candidates, or to interfere with official duties

- Resale, Brokering, or Bulk Export: Reselling, redistributing, sublicensing, brokering, bulk-exporting, or commercializing the data or results returned through the Service, or using the Service to build, train, or supply a competing social-search, data-broker, or enrichment product

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account termination, reporting to law enforcement, and civil or criminal liability.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 OUR PROPERTY. The Service, including its original content, features, functionality, design, and underlying technology, is owned by OSINTsearch and is protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
8.2 LIMITED LICENSE. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your authorized purposes, subject to these Terms.
8.3 THIRD-PARTY DATA. The data provided through the Service may be subject to third-party intellectual property rights. We make no representations regarding your right to use such data beyond the scope permitted by these Terms.
9. Limitation of Liability
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY AS IT LIMITS OUR LIABILITY TO YOU.
9.1 DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE. WE SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
9.2 NO GUARANTEE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT: (A) THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS; (B) THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE; (C) THE RESULTS OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE; (D) ANY ERRORS IN THE SERVICE WILL BE CORRECTED.
9.3 LIMITATION OF DAMAGES. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL OSINTSEARCH, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
9.4 MAXIMUM LIABILITY. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY AND ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM; OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100).
9.5 BASIS OF THE BARGAIN. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT WE HAVE OFFERED THE SERVICE AND ENTERED INTO THESE TERMS IN RELIANCE UPON THE DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY SET FORTH HEREIN, AND THAT THESE FORM AN ESSENTIAL BASIS OF THE BARGAIN BETWEEN US.
9.6 DATA ACCURACY. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR LOSSES ARISING FROM YOUR RELIANCE ON ANY DATA, INFORMATION, OR RESULTS PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICE. DATA IS AGGREGATED FROM THIRD-PARTY PUBLIC SOURCES AND PUBLIC SOCIAL-MEDIA PROFILES AND IS NOT VERIFIED; IT MAY BE INCOMPLETE OR OUTDATED, AND IT MAY REFER TO MORE THAN ONE PERSON SHARING A NAME OR OTHER IDENTIFIER. THE SERVICE IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR INDEPENDENT DILIGENCE OR THE SERVICES OF A LICENSED INVESTIGATOR OR ATTORNEY. YOU USE ALL DATA AT YOUR OWN RISK AND BEAR SOLE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY ACTION YOU TAKE BASED ON IT.
10. Indemnification
10.1 You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless OSINTsearch, its officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, successors, and assigns from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:
- Your use or misuse of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Any claim that your use of the Service caused damage to a third party
- Any data you submit, post, or transmit through the Service
10.2 This indemnification obligation will survive the termination of your account and these Terms.
11. Termination
11.1 BY US. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including without limitation if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
11.2 BY YOU. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using account deletion features. Termination does not entitle you to any refund of fees paid, except as provided in our Refund Policy.
11.3 SURVIVAL. The following sections shall survive termination: Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Intellectual Property, Governing Law, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive.
12. Law Enforcement Cooperation
12.1 COMPLIANCE. OSINTsearch cooperates fully with law enforcement agencies and regulatory authorities. We will comply with valid legal requests including subpoenas, court orders, search warrants, and national security letters in accordance with applicable law.
12.2 DISCLOSURE. We may disclose your account information, usage data, IP addresses, search history, and any other information in our possession to law enforcement authorities when required by law or when we have a good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary to prevent imminent harm, investigate suspected violations of law, or protect the rights of OSINTsearch or third parties.
12.3 PRESERVATION. We may preserve account information and usage records for a reasonable period in response to valid law enforcement preservation requests, even after account termination or deletion.
12.4 USER NOTIFICATION. Unless prohibited by law or court order, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users of law enforcement requests that seek their data.
13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
13.1 GOVERNING LAW. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
13.2 ARBITRATION AND OPT-OUT. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through final and binding arbitration in accordance with the Consumer Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association, rather than in court, except that you or OSINTsearch may bring an individual action in small-claims court if it qualifies. The arbitrator (not any judge or jury) will decide the dispute, and judgment on the award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction. You may opt out of this arbitration requirement by sending a written opt-out notice to [email protected] within thirty (30) days of the date you first accept these Terms; the notice must include your name, account email, and a clear statement that you wish to opt out of arbitration. Opting out does not opt you out of the class-action waiver below.
13.3 CLASS ACTION WAIVER. YOU AGREE THAT ANY CLAIMS MUST BE BROUGHT IN YOUR INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. THE ARBITRATOR MAY NOT CONSOLIDATE MORE THAN ONE PERSON'S CLAIMS OR PRESIDE OVER A REPRESENTATIVE OR CLASS PROCEEDING.
13.4 TIME LIMITATION. Any claim or cause of action arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service must be filed within one (1) year after such claim or cause of action arose, or be forever barred.
14. General Provisions
14.1 ENTIRE AGREEMENT. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and OSINTsearch regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
14.2 SEVERABILITY. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
14.3 WAIVER. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of such right or provision.
14.4 ASSIGNMENT. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights hereunder without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
14.5 FORCE MAJEURE. We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
14.6 NOTICES. We may provide notices to you via email, posting on the Service, or other reasonable means. You may contact us at [email protected].
