Minecraft username lookup
A Minecraft username lookup resolves a name to the account holding it and returns what the public name records carry. That means the name in the capitalisation its owner chose, the permanent account UUID, the current skin texture and the profile address. Whether the name is taken at all is the other half of the answer, and checking costs nothing.

What Minecraft (NameMC) exposes.
What a public Minecraft (NameMC) profile reports to a username search, field by field. Availability is honest per row: a mark says how often the field comes back, the note says when it does not.
Minecraft names are one global namespace, so a name is either held by an account right now or it is available to claim.
The account keeps the capital letters its owner typed, so a name you were given in lowercase can come back looking quite different.
A permanent account identifier that no rename touches. It, and not the name, is what actually identifies a player.
The skin texture is served publicly, and players stay attached to a skin they made, reusing it across alternate accounts.
A stable page for the account that keeps working after a rename, because it is built on the UUID rather than the name.
Capes come from specific events and partnerships, so one narrows an account to something that existed at a particular time.
Old names were once published for every account and access has since been cut back, so a history may be missing even for a heavily renamed account.
Minecraft accounts publish no name, email or location. The UUID and the skin are the entire public surface.

Three steps: Minecraft (NameMC) lookup.
- Step 1
Enter the in-game name; capitalisation does not need to match, since the lookup returns the stored spelling.
- Step 2
Minecraft names are checked with the other gaming platforms, so a matching gamertag or launcher handle turns up in the same pass.
- Step 3
Note the UUID, then use the exact stored spelling as your search term everywhere else.

Is Minecraft username history public?
It used to be, for every account. Access to old names was restricted afterwards, so a history can be missing entirely even for an account that changed names several times.
What is a UUID and why does it matter?
It is the permanent identifier behind an account. Names come and go between players, the UUID does not, so two accounts sharing a name across years are still two different UUIDs.
Can I find out who owns a Minecraft name?
You can see the account, not the person. The public record stops at a UUID, a skin and a spelling, and there is no name or contact field to reach for.
How do I tell whether a name is available?
The lookup answers it directly: a held name resolves to an account and a free one does not. Released names go back into the pool after a holding period.
Does a skin identify a player?
Not on its own, but it helps. People design a skin once and keep using it on alternate accounts, so a distinctive one is a reasonable thing to match on.
Someone on a server uses my friend's name. Is it them?
No way to conclude that. Names transfer between owners and get imitated deliberately, so an account existing under a name says nothing about who plays on it.
Can I look up a name without an account?
Yes. Three checks a day per visitor run here with nothing to sign up for, and a free account adds saved history for longer sessions.
Where the same handle tends to turn up.
Each page pins the live scan to that platform. The scan itself is always the whole corpus.
Username, then email, then phone.
